Fall Annuals When inquiring about our pot sizes, don't forget to ask about the spread of the plant.  For example, our 8" Mums sell for $3.00 and usually have a 15-20" spread.  Although you may be able to purchase the same pot size at a lesser price, the impressive spread of a Walnut Springs plant can fill the square footage with less plants, therefore significantly dropping your anticipated cost.   We sell 4.5" pots with 15 pots per flat.  The 4.5" pot produces a quality landscape project quicker than a 3.25"-4"pot.  Its advantages include faster installation and cleanup; larger, stronger plants; better established root systems; reduced transplant stress; and faster foliage expansions.   We grow a 6" pot with 5 plants per pot, 10 pots per cardboard flat and 8 pots per plastic flat.  Without increasing cost, a 6"pot will offer a more efficient method of planting.  Ten flats of 4.5" begonias equals 51 pots of 6" begonias.  Although each size offers its own unique look, they both cover the same square footage and produce the same final cost.  The 6" however, requires less labor and cleanup.

  Pot Size   Plant Spacing Guidelines   Note:  These measurements are only guidelines.  Your spacing depends on the types of annuals used, whether they are upright plants or trailing plants, and also the type of impact you want to display.  These sizes don't apply to Poinsettias.
